Women’s Leadership Council
The Women's Leadership Council is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the difference we've been able to make - and will make - in our community through our giving of both time and money. - Erica Martinez, Slingshot, LLC
For the Women's Leadership Council, it's been a decade of creating community change. Founded in 2001, this group of dedicated women works to engage others in meaningful philanthropic activities that help improve the lives of North Texans. Through their civic connection, members also develop personal and professional relationships with one another.
In the past few years, members have shared their time to benefit others in special ways, including donating baby items for first-time local moms and then assembling all the goods — including bibs, diapers and wipes — into care bags; handcrafting 300 holiday posters at Thanksgiving to adorn the hospital rooms of infants and children dealing with disease and disorders; and mentoring girls ages 9 to 18 on the importance of education.
