Women of Tocqueville
"We do what we do — Give, Advocate and Volunteer — because we love it and we truly enjoy doing all we can for our community." — Debra von Storch, Partner, Global Accounts, Ernst & Young LLP
Women of Tocqueville is a leading philanthropic force in North Texas. This dynamic group of women — made up of top female executives and community volunteers — believes in working together to create positive, long-term change.
Women of Tocqueville members volunteer as youth mentors, talk with Texas legislators about improving child care standards, travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate on Capitol Hill, and much more. They embrace every moment — every opportunity — to empower people in our community to better their lives.
How to Join
When you become part of Women of Tocqueville — an initiative of the Tocqueville Society — you do more than just talk about what the future could be. Your efforts create a brighter future for our region.
- Each Women of Tocqueville member invests $10,000 or more annually to help United Way improve Education, Income and Health in North Texas.
- You may give through payroll deduction, check or credit card, your foundation or gifts of stock.
- With the Fast Track giving option, you can grow into the $10,000 commitment over three years and receiving membership benefits immediately. Fast Track is made possible through a matching gift from the Thomas W. & Lillian Kangerga Sowell Charitable Trust.
- You may also enhance your Women of Tocqueville connection through a United Way Legacy Gift (contributions of cash or stock, or gifts from your will, retirement plan or life insurance). Members who endow their annual Women of Tocqueville Society gift are recognized in the Tocqueville Legacy Circle.
