Our Impact

By combining their efforts, more than 95,000 United Way of Metropolitan Dallas donors, volunteers and advocates throughout North Texas are creating long-term, community-level improvements. For instance, in just one year, United Way donors helped more than 740,000 people change their lives, including:

  • 5,400 children ages 0 to 5 preparing to start kindergarten
  • 10,300 youth learning in academically rich afterschool, summer and mentoring programs
  • 3,900 low-income individuals learning job skills that can help them get good jobs
  • 14,400 people finding and maintaining employment
  • 42,000 people receiving treatment for substance abuse and family violence
  • 66,000 people gaining access to primary health care services
