Spotlight on Lynda Newman
Dr. Lynda Newman, a Clinical Psychologist, has been a dedicated United Way of Metropolitan Dallas volunteer for the past eight years. In her many years of service, Lynda has filled many roles. She has served as a Panel Member, Panel Vice Chair, Panel Chair (5 years) and is currently the Outcomes Vice Chair. She became involved in United Way when an agency she worked with submitted her name and she has been volunteering ever since! Lynda has said that she enjoys her volunteer work very much and especially enjoys seeing the excellent work being done by agencies in the community. United Way is not the only organization Lynda volunteers with, she is also extensively involved in Jewish Family Services where she served as a past President. Lynda also served on the board of Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas. When asked to share a meaningful experience as a United Way volunteer she said, "It's meaningful to me that I am so much more aware of the services provided by so many groups. I have enjoyed the companionship of many dedicated volunteers, each with their unique and often fascinating interests."
