Spotlight on Lisa Proctor
Lisa Proctor, Community Relations and Volunteer Programs Manager for JCPenney, has been a committed United Way volunteer for 12 years.
"One of my very first impressions about United Way was being impressed with the caliber of volunteers involved in so many different aspects of this complex organization," recalled Ms. Proctor. "I was also inspired by the profound impact we all sought to make on the lives of our fellow community members. All that community impact work has had an impact on me personally as well. I'm so fortunate to work for a company that believes so strongly in giving back to its communities and feels so grateful for the opportunity to give back in such a meaningful way. "

She also manages JCPenney's national United Way Campaign, raising $11.7 million annually. Locally, JCPenney is the 2nd largest campaign in the Metroplex, with local stores and JCPenny's home office generating $2.7 million for United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
