Spotlight on Cathy Gliem
Cathy Gliem, Client Processing Specialist and 2006 FM Global Campaign Coordinator, managed a remarkably successful campaign at FM Global.
FM Global is one of the world's largest commercial and industrial property insurance and risk management organizations specializing in property protection. Working with committed volunteers, Cathy led FM Global to realize a 111 percent increase in their total campaign, ultimately raising $70,000.
"I enjoy getting our office involved and excited about making a difference in people's lives and making our community a better place through our involvement with United Way," said Cathy. "It is rewarding to come up with new and creative ways to get our employees involved and watching them have fun, while contributing to what's really important."
Cathy keeps the campaign fun by promoting jeans days, having a Halloween themed putt-putt golf tournament in the office hallways and by having an employee luncheon with a special guest speaker. FM global also offers a $2 for $1 match on employee contributions, which greatly increases the impact an employee's contribution makes on the community.
Cathy has worked at FM Global for 10 years, and has been a tireless supporter of the campaign by serving as the company's Campaign Coordinator for the past five years. She hopes to continue increasing campaign funds in the upcoming years. Great job to Cathy and thanks to FM Global!
