Spotlight on Fred Halfpap
Fred Halfpap, Vice President of Revenue Services at Citi, has been an active and committed United Way volunteer since arriving in the Dallas area. His initial involvement with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas (UWMD) came as a campaign volunteer for the annual Citi campaign. Fred took staff input and volunteer training to heart and became a walking, talking example of the impact of best practices when he helped lead Citi to record-breaking campaign successes. Fred has generously given his time to train other campaign coordinators and team members through United Way University and by sharing his experiences as he meets United Way volunteers.
Citi is the largest financial institution contributor to our campaign and ranks among the top ten total United Way campaigns locally. With Fred's leadership as Citi's 2007 Leadership Giving Chair, the Citi campaign has grown to nearly $2 million and is consistently ranked as one of the top campaigns in Dallas. The company has more than 500 Leadership givers annually and has experienced an overall 92% increase in giving over the past five years.
Fred is a leadership giver and member of the Young Leaders Society and has recently increased his gift to become a Fast-Track Tocqueville donor. He is committed to ensuring that the funds he gives and helps to raise are directed towards programs that meet the area's most pressing health and human service needs. Fred has served as a priority needs grant volunteer for three years, including his role as an allocations volunteer on the Citi Fund for Financial Education. He is particularly proud of his role in stewarding UWMD dollars in the direction of keeping kids off of alcohol and drugs in his role as a board member of United Way partner Rainbow Days. Through these volunteer roles, Fred has seen the impact and importance of raising funds and giving them to outstanding programs that truly change people's lives.
United Way of Metropolitan Dallas honors Fred for his dedication, commitment and leadership to our community.
