Second Tuesday Luncheon Series - sponsored by KPMG
Under the leadership of Tocqueville Co-Chair Bill White, Locke Liddell & Sapp, LLP, the Second Tuesday Luncheon Series has become a favorite event for Tocqueville members. Each month (with the exception of July and August) they enjoy an opportunity to hear about the business, personal and philanthropic interests of Tocqueville members in an intimate-sized and exclusive setting.
This year's featured speakers have included:
Ralph W. Babb, Jr., Chairman and CEO, Comerica Incorporated and Comerica Bank
Alan L. Boeckmann, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Fluor Corporation

CEO Luncheons
Members who bring a prospective member as their guest are welcome to attend these events hosted by generous CEOs who are Tocqueville members. This event features behind-the-scenes insights and perspectives of the host CEO, resulting in a memorable information-packed event. Last year, CEO Luncheons were generously hosted last year by C. John Wilder, Chairman and CEO of TXU and Mike Ullman, President and CEO of JC Penney. Our next CEO Luncheon will be hosted by Michael Jordan, Chairman of EDS, in September.
"Behind the Scenes" Tours and Events
Thanks to our friends at HKS Architects, we were able to launch this special benefit for members and prospects in 2006. HKS, the architectural firm who designed the W Hotel in Dallas and strong supporters of United Way, hosted this exclusive tour of the new hotel for Tocqueville members and guests. This year's Behind-The-Scenes event, sponsored by Bank of America, featured a glimpse of The Residences at One Arts Plaza, the hotest new home address in Dallas.
Executive Briefings
Members of our Tocqueville-Workplace committee, led by P. Scott Ozanus, Dallas Office Managing Partner of KPMG and Tocqueville Co-Chair are available to visit workplaces to speak to Tocqueville members and prospective members about the difference that they can make through their Tocqueville level gifts as well as new recognition and networking opportunities. Work with the Tocqueville Chair in your company to schedule this important United Way update. Which companies boast the most Tocqueville givers?
NEW! Women of Tocqueville
This year we are launching our Women of Tocqueville initiative, chaired by Laura Whitley, President, Bank of America Dallas. Women of Tocqueville is a network of successful women focusing their collective leadership capabilities and financial power to raise additional funds in support of the community priorities of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. The first women to join in this inaugural year will be recognized as Women of Tocqueville's Founding Members.
Members of Women of Tocqueville are women giving a Tocqueville gift independently either at the Fast Track or full Tocqueville level or women giving a family gift of $20,000 or more that includes a Fast Track or full Tocqueville gift from the woman. Special thanks to Neiman Marcus and Deloitte for sponsoring the Women of Tocqueville Challenge Match which matches any new Tocqueville gifts at the level of $10,000 or more and any current Tocqueville members that increase their contribution.
The launch of Women of Tocqueville, sponsored by Bank of America, was at the home of Nancy Strauss Halbreich and featured author Linda Kelly Armstrong, mother of seven-time Tour de France Winner, Lance Armstrong. Learn more.
