Latino Leadership Initiative

Mission

To encourage Latino leaders to LIVE UNITED in the local community through giving resources, fostering engagement and promoting volunteerism.

The Latino Leadership Initiative of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas provides an opportunity for enrichment, recognition and volunteerism among Latino donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually to United Way and its mission to improve lives in our communities.

LLI recognizes the value and importance of Latino leaders in the community and to United Way. LLI aims to engage and educate Latino leaders on how the Latino community participates in, and benefits from, the work of United Way and its partner agencies. More than 30 percent of all people served by United Way agencies are Latinos.

LLI strives to increase Latino participation in United Way’s decision-making processes and encourages growth and development in the number of Latino leadership givers.
