Community Needs Assessment
In fall 2008, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas published a full Community Needs Assessment, identifying the most pressing health and human service needs in the community. The information, compiled every three years, is used by United Way to direct funding towards the highest priority needs. Other organizations - both public and private - can utilize the data to help inform their policy and program design decisions. It also serves as a report to the community, in general, on the state of health and human service needs and provides benchmarks from which to gauge progress. As such, this report can facilitate more community engagement around identifying and meeting the community's needs.
