Involve your CEO
Engaging your CEO or local senior manager is the most important action you can take to make your campaign as successful as possible. It is also critical to engage other management as most employees will not have involvement with the most senior executive on a daily basis.
A CEO's visible and personal support will:
- Set an excellent example of involvement that managers and team members will follow
- Raise participation
- Give access to a budget
- Ensure a strong corporate gift
- Increase enthusiasm for the campaign
- Show the company's support of United Way and community
Within the top 120 campaigns those that involved their CEO had an increase of over 20%!
Your CEO or local senior manager can be involved by:
- Meeting with United Way leadership in a CEO call
- Publicly pledging a generous Tocqueville or Leadership gift
- Making a corporate gift or establishing an employee match
- Appointing a senior executive to chair the Tocqueville and Leadership Giving campaigns
- Speaking at campaign trainings, meetings and events
- Endorsing the campaign through e-mail, letters, and personal appearances at campaign events
- Establishing a budget for campaign events and materials
Make a Donation
When a child succeeds in school, a single mom pulls herself out of poverty, or a grandfather learns how to better manage his diabetes, we all win. When you reach out a hand to one, you influence the condition of all.
Your donation, large or small, makes it possible for United Way to improve lives in our community.
