Set your campaign goals

After reviewing and analyzing your giving history with your United Way staff partner, it’s time to set your campaign goal. There are a number of options as listed below, but it’s important to identify what will work best for your company. Many top campaigns set a goal for their entire company while also identifying a stretch goal for their campaign team.

Option #1: Increase Participation

Bright idea

In 2008 Freeman attended United Way’s Corporate Campaign Analysis workshop to gain insight into opportunities for the upcoming campaign. For the first time representatives from each of the five Freeman businesses sat together to review the campaign results.

The team quickly realized that using a couple of additional best practices would result in huge campaign increases which were realized when their 2008 Campaign saw a 154% increase over the prior year.
